Privacy Policy

Kiwi is an Android app for making home screen widgets from a description or pictures you choose. This policy explains how Kiwi handles information when you create widgets, use live widget features, and contact us. You can use Kiwi without creating an account.

Information Collection and Use

When you generate or revise a widget with AI, Kiwi sends your request, selected style and model, and any reference pictures you chose to Kiwi's Cloudflare Worker over HTTPS. The Worker sends the material needed to the selected AI model and returns the result to your phone. Depending on the model, processing may involve Google Gemini or Cloudflare Workers AI and its AI Gateway for OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Moonshot, DeepSeek, Qwen, or Z.ai. Only pictures you select for that request are uploaded. Your prompts, reference pictures, generation history, and generated widget designs are also saved on your device so you can reuse them.

Some widgets use information available on your phone. Calendar widgets read events only after you grant calendar access. Music widgets use media-session details such as song, artist, artwork, and playback state after you grant Android notification access. Notification widgets count active notifications by app, without reading message titles or text. Clock, alarm, battery, network, memory, storage, and other device widgets use local values. Kiwi does not send these widget readings to its servers.

For weather and air-quality widgets, you choose a city. Kiwi sends the city search, then that city's coordinates, to Open-Meteo. Kiwi does not ask for device location or GPS access. A widget may also download a font from Google Fonts or jsDelivr, or an image from an internet address in its design; those services receive the network request, including your IP address.

When you report a generated widget inside Kiwi, the app sends the report reason, your optional comments, the original request, and the generated widget code to our Cloudflare Worker. Reference pictures are not attached. We use reports to review content and improve safeguards. Reports are kept in a private Cloudflare database for up to 90 days. When email delivery is enabled, a copy is sent through Resend to our support mailbox. Direct email to us is handled by your email provider and ours.

Third-Party Services

The following services are involved only when you use the corresponding feature. Their own policies govern data they process:

• Cloudflare hosts Kiwi's AI and report Workers, stores reports, and routes some model requests.
• Google processes Gemini requests when that model is selected and serves fonts when a widget uses Google Fonts.
• Other selectable model providers include OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Moonshot, DeepSeek, Qwen, and Z.ai through Cloudflare Workers AI or AI Gateway.
• Open-Meteo supplies weather and air-quality information for a city you choose.
• jsDelivr may serve fonts used by a widget.
• Resend sends a copy of reports to our mailbox when email delivery is configured.

Kiwi does not sell personal data or use an advertising or analytics SDK in the Android app.

Data Deletion Request

You can remove a generation from the Me tab and delete its widget design from Designs. You can revoke calendar or notification access in Android settings. Uninstalling Kiwi removes its app data from your phone, subject to Android backup or device transfer you have enabled. Android may back up or transfer app data under your device's settings.

To request deletion of a report or message you sent us, follow the instructions on our data deletion page. Reports in our Cloudflare database are automatically deleted after 90 days. Email copies and records held by service providers may follow their own retention schedules.

Log Data

Kiwi's Worker records operational details such as request path, selected model, duration, usage, and errors. Its application code does not deliberately log your prompt text or reference pictures. Cloudflare and other network services may process your IP address and request details to deliver and protect their services. Kiwi does not include a crash-reporting or behavioral-analytics SDK in the Android app.

Cookies

The Kiwi app and this privacy page do not set tracking cookies. If you follow a link to another website, that site's cookie practices apply.

Service Providers

We use the services named above to generate widgets, retrieve weather or fonts, host the privacy page, and receive reports. They receive only the information needed for the feature you use. Their handling and retention of information are described in their own policies.

Security

Kiwi uses HTTPS for the network requests described here. Reports are stored in a private Cloudflare database, and widget designs and reference pictures are kept in app storage on your device. No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

Links to Other Sites

Widgets can open links or load images and fonts from other sites. Kiwi does not operate those sites. Review their privacy practices before providing information to them.

Children's Privacy

Kiwi does not ask for a user's age or knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information in a prompt or report, contact us so we can review a deletion request.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy when Kiwi's features or data handling change. The current version and its effective date are published at kiwi.truestudio.app/privacy.
